Catapulted to fame with her song “Bodak Yellow” Cardi B is the newest female rapper to descend on the hip hop scene. Appearing on the VH1 reality show, Love and Hip Hop: New York, Cardi was always focused on the music and none of the drama. 
The 25 year old rapper became the first female rapper to nab a solo number one in the US in 19 years. She’s come full circle since her beginnings in the strip club. In recent news, Cardi B has teamed up with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Migos in their new single, MotorSport, sporting pastel colored hair, exotic cars and sleek futuristic elements. What else would you expect in a rap video right? The single is available of all streaming platforms including Tidal.
What is her appeal you might ask? It’s simply herself. Her uniquely quirky personality attracts fans. She’s seen as a genuine nonconformist, a real G and better yet, a grateful “celebrity” who actually interacts and cares about her fans. She embodies the old adage, “you can take the girl out of the hood but you can’t take the hood out of the girl”. She proves that being yourself is more than enough to achieve your dreams.
