Got the travel bug and decided to ditch my day job (and the abysmal winter weather) and head to CANCUN for a week. A decision that I’m glad I made because it made for a memorable trip with my sister aka my partner in crime. Now we didn’t spring for the the best all-inclusive resorts in Cancun because let’s be realistic…everyone has to live on some kind of budget. We instead decided to stay at a beautiful little 3 star hotel near the water front. Our room came with a balcony which gave the most perfect view of the sunset.
Here are some of our adventures in this little paradise tucked away in Quintana Roo, Mexico. Check out the best places to visit in Mexico.
CANCUN, MEXICO
We started our trip in Cancun a city on the Yucatán Peninsula bordering the Caribbean Sea.
TULUM and CENOTE, MEXICO
After a few days de-stressing away from the frigid winter weather we traveled from Cancun to Tulum, Mexico.
There we signed up for the Tulum Cenote Tour with EKNX Tours. The package came with a tour in the archeological site of the Mayan Ruins in Tulum, a swim in the Cenote and shopping in downtown Playa Del Carmen Mexico.
Some other activities worth looking into is ziplining, ATV-ing around some trails, renting a boat for a sea getaway or jet skiing is always a favorite. The goal was exploration and adventure and I think we managed to do just that.
How would you spend a quick getaway to another country? Exploring or being leisurely? Check out some more things to do in Cancun.
