Here are a few favorites I found during the month of August.
With the endless pool and beach days come dry hair and crunchy split ends. I found the best way to avoid dry hair was to use moisturizing hair care products. As a curly haired girl, I love my curls but sometimes I’m in the mood for something different whether it’s straight or styled hair. To keep my strands protected, I’ve been using the BTZ Turn up the heat flat iron protection to help shield my hair from heat damage. Skin care is as important to me as hair care and to keep my skin blemish free and smooth, my go-to mask has been the black mask from body drench. It’s a pore refining peel off mask made with black charcoal to help draw out excess dirt and oil on the skin’s surface. Although this mask has quite a strong smell, I’ve found that using a thin layer helps to pull out all the dirt inside my pores and leave my face clean and calm. I follow up with my favorite face wash and my normal beauty routine.

Finally, my last August favorite has been one of my favorite candle brands for a long time, Woodwick. I recently got my hands on the Vanilla Bean scent and have been loving it. For those who don’t know the woodwick candles are unique in that the candle crackles like a fireplace as it burns and can fill a whole room with divine scent. It’s good for a romantic night-in on a summer night and is great to set the ambiance.
