July Favorites: Beauty Fashion Food

Some of the things I’m loving this summer from beauty to fashion and yummy summer cocktails.

It’s the height of summer and dehydration can get the best of us. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water throughout the day and avoid the heat during the hottest time of day (11am to 2pm).

With dry, hot weather comes the dreaded chapped lips. Dry cracked lips are not cute. To avoid this I use the EOS lip balms. Not only are they moisturizing, but they also come in many yummy flavors you can check out on their site. My favorite is the sweet mint and the visibly soft lip balm.

Get glowing healthy skin and rid yourself of blemishes and acne using my favorite long-lasting body cleansing bars. The Paul Mitchell tea tree body bar retails for $9 and the equally effective alternative Generic Value Products tea tree cleansing bar retails for about $4.49 per bar at Sally Beauty. The formulas contain the acne, fungal and blemish fighting tea tree oil which is one of my holy grail products to keep my skin clean and clear.

FIGHT ACNE AND BLEMISHES HERE: Antifungal Tea Tree Oil Body Wash, Helps Athletes Foot, Ringworm, Toenail Fungus, Jock Itch, Acne, Eczema & Body Odor- Soothes Itching & Promotes Healthy Feet, Skin and Nails 9oz.

Matching sets are a must during Summer and one of my favorite looks. My favorite trend is the off the shoulder look in soft, airy fabrics and fun prints. Shop the looks at ROMWE. These looks are fun for weekend getaways, cookouts and even summer nights grabbing drinks with girlfriends or roasts by the fire pit.

Another favorite and my go to look has been denim dresses. My favorite look has been pairing this denim dress from Boohoo with some converse. Simple, fast, cute and off I go.

For nails my go to favorite has been the Essie Mint nail polish with the ORLY matte topcoat. Something bright, colorful and complements both gold and silver jewelry.

My favorite summer hairstyle would have to be a stylish bob or lob (long bob). Some hair care products I use to keep my locks healthy, stop damage and also deeply moisturize is the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque and the Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. They keep my curls hydrated and bouncy and when I’m in the mood for straight locks, it protects my hair from heat damage and that dry crunchy feel. Don’t forget to use your favorite heat protectant before ever using heat on your hair– that includes blow drying.

To protect against the sun and its damaging UV rays, I opt for the allure winning Toleriane La Roche-Posay Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV with spf 30. I love this face moisturizer because it’s not greasy on my face and it doesn’t leave a white overcast on days I’m sans makeup. It’s light weight and absorbs fast so my skin feels fresh. The site boasts the formula to be fragrance and paraben free, suitable for sensitive skin and oil free. Excellent properties to avoid summertime breakouts. The formula also works to: “Replenishes moisture for all-day hydration and helps restore skin’s natural protective barrier.”

Finally what’s summer without a few drinks and cocktails with friends, family or that hot date? My favorites have been fruity cocktail blends with an adult twist (alcohol) or a healthy anti-inflammatory tumeric elixir detox.
